New campaign

From idea to inbox, in one form

Press New campaign and fill in four things.

Name it, then choose the Channel, Email or SMS
Choose the Audience, a saved segment, and a Template
Link a Discount the campaign promotes
Send immediately, or Schedule a date and time
Send at each person's best time sends each email around the hour that person usually opens email
First name, store name and a booking, shop or order link drop in for each customer

Test it on yourself first. Then send with confidence.

A campaign cannot be recalled once it has gone, so Franpos makes it hard to send by mistake.

Templates

Wording that sounds like you

Edit the wording of the emails and texts Franpos sends for you.

Email templates have a Subject, a message and an Insert tag for details such as the customer's name
Text templates have Template parameters to paste in, and Reset to default if you want the original back
Marketing templates you write yourself live on the Content tab, under New template
Connect Mailchimp or Campaigner if you use them, with auto sync

Questions about email and text campaigns

How do I send an email or text campaign?

Open Marketing, press New campaign, name it, choose Email or SMS, choose an audience (a saved segment) and a template, then send immediately or schedule it.

Can I test it before I send?

Yes. Send test to me sends the email to you, and for a text it asks for your mobile number. You can also Save draft and come back later.

Why did my campaign reach fewer customers than I expected?

A campaign runs for the location you are in, the Frequency cap skips anyone who has recently received that many marketing messages, and customers have to match the segment. Preview the segment to see how many match.

Do I see opens and clicks for texts?

No. Opens and clicks are tracked for email only. For a text you still see everyone it was sent to and what happened to each message.

Can I undo a send?

No. Once a campaign has gone, it cannot be recalled, which is why Franpos asks you to confirm first and offers tests and drafts.

How do customers agree to get texts?

On your forms with the consent option. For the text-only sign-up, consent counts once the customer's number replies YES, and anyone who replies STOP is opted out.
