Goals that track themselves

Goals lives under Settings, Employee, with tabs for Goals, Leaderboard, My goals, TV and Settings.

Goals

Pick what to measure. Pick who chases it.

A short wizard asks what, who, how much and by when.

Goal types: Sales amount, Product quantity, Product total, Category sales, Category quantity, Services total or a Custom task
Assign to one employee, several employees, a department or all staff
Create the goal at each location you tick, one goal per location
Target, Start date and End date, then a Reward type and detail recorded for recognition
Launch goal, or Save draft if you are not ready

Always know who is ahead

Filter the Goals list by All, In progress, Completed or Missed.

Columns for Goal, Type, Status, Progress, Remaining, Period and Reward
Progress updates by itself from sales and finished appointments; only a custom task is logged by hand
A correction is its own row, so you can always see what changed
Hours before a goal is marked missed gives late-syncing sales a grace period
A banner warns when a goal points at something removed from your catalog

Leaderboard and My goals

A friendly race, if you want one

The Leaderboard ranks employees, and My goals shows each person only their own targets.

02 · The shop TV

Put the scoreboard on the wall

Any TV with a web browser can show your goals.

Add TV

On the TV tab, press Add TV and open the address it gives you in the TV's own browser.

Show pairing code

On the TV row, choose Show pairing code. A code works for ten minutes and five tries.

Type the code

Enter it on the TV and the screen is paired.

Choose what it shows

Pages and widgets sets the content, Rename names the screen, and you can turn a screen off any time.

Document templates and departments, set up once.

Documents

The handbook and the offer letter, ready for every hire

Under Settings, Employee, Document templates, upload an Employee handbook and an Offer letter.

Upload a PDF, PNG or JPG, and Replace it whenever the policy changes
A new file replaces the current one, and employees who already signed are not affected
Part of payroll onboarding, best used on a computer

Departments

Departments, breaks and time off types

One page holds the building blocks of scheduling and the time clock.

A department has a Name, a Button color and Locations, and is Customer-facing or Back of house
A break has a duration, a Payable choice and a pay rate, and can apply to chosen departments
Time off types such as vacation or sick leave are booked against when you grant time off
Deleting one with upcoming shifts asks you to pick a replacement

Honest by design

Recognition, not payroll

Rewards are recorded for recognition only. Nothing is posted to payroll or accounting.

Names on the TV

Show full staff names controls whether the TV shows full names or a first name and last initial.

Goals and documents are set up on a computer.

Questions about team goals

How does a goal's progress get counted?

Sales and finished appointments count automatically. Only a Custom task is tracked by hand, with Add progress, and a negative amount corrects an earlier entry.

Can customers see staff names on the TV?

Only if you allow it. Show full staff names is a setting, and a screen marked as one customers can see never shows a full name.

Do rewards go to payroll?

No. Rewards are recorded for recognition only. Nothing is posted to payroll or accounting.

What happens if I edit a goal?

Editing a goal does not recalculate progress already recorded.

Can I turn the leaderboard off?

Yes. Show the leaderboard hides the tab for everyone at your company, and goals keep tracking either way.
