The front desk, rebuilt around AI

Never lose a walk-in. The line that runs itself.

Picture a front desk where nobody asks who is next. Guests check themselves in with a QR code, a counter iPad or your website, the queue shows how long each party has really waited, and one tap puts their service on the ticket. Franpos is walk-in queue and waitlist software that works for a groomer and for a host stand.

Your front desk, in order

Walk-ins is the live list of parties who showed up without an appointment, for the location you are standing in.

The queue

Everyone waiting, with the real wait

Each party shows how long it has been waiting. Only elapsed time is shown, never a guess at the wait.

  • Tiles count who is waiting, in service and served, and a tap filters the list
  • Check in by name or phone, or as a guest, with a note and an optional service and provider
  • Anyone is a real answer when a party has no provider preference
  • Start service, Put back in line and Resume service keep every party where it should be
  • If another host already moved a party, you see a short message and the card refreshes
To the till

From the line to the ticket in one tap

Add to ticket opens the Register with the party's service and provider already on it.

  • When the ticket is paid, the party is marked served
  • A Walk-ins switch beside Items on the Register keeps the queue next to the till on a tablet or computer
  • Edit a party's size, services, provider or note; Remove from queue is for a party with no order yet
  • Text sends a 'you're next' message, and it needs a mobile number on file and texting switched on

Guests who check themselves in

Four doors into the line, and every one lands in To confirm until a host taps Confirm.

Self check-in

A QR code on the door

Print the code or copy the link, and guests join the line from their own phone.

  • Self check-in code from the More menu, with Print and Copy link
  • A Kiosk link for a counter iPad, which resets for the next guest; Guided Access locks it down
  • A Walk-in check-in section on your Franpos website, or a Check in link in the site menu
  • A widget for a website hosted somewhere else, limited to the domains you list
Control

You decide what guests see and pick

One page of settings shapes the whole check-in.

  • Set the Title, the Check-in button and the Thank you page guests see
  • Switch Enable select service and Enable service provider on or off
  • Show queue tells guests how many parties are ahead, only when you turn it on
  • A master Walk-in check-in switch turns every walk-in surface on or off

At a restaurant, the host stand

Same page, new words: at a restaurant it is called Waitlist, and a party has a size, notes and a table.

Waitlist and seating

Seat the right party at the right table

Add a party with its size, text them when their table is ready, and seat them from a picker.

  • Add party with Party size and a note, then Add to waitlist
  • Seat opens a table picker with open tables first, and tables marked In use or Held for a reservation
  • Type a table instead when a party sits somewhere you have not drawn
  • Today's reservations appear in the same list, with a red Late badge once a booked time passes
Reservations

A day book that keeps the deposit rules

Reservations is a day book grouped by shift, with every status one tap away.

  • Move a party along with Confirm, Arrived, Seat, No-show or Cancel
  • Cancel by the cancel policy, refund in full or keep the deposit; a no-show always keeps it
  • Guests can book a table online within the party sizes, notice and days ahead you set
  • Book anyway lets a manager override a full time, with a typed reason that goes in the log

Walk-in queue and waitlist software, answered

How do guests check themselves in?
Four ways: a QR code from the Walk-ins page, a kiosk link on a counter iPad, a Walk-in check-in section or a Check in menu link on your Franpos website, and a widget for a website hosted elsewhere. Each check-in waits under To confirm until you confirm it.
Does it estimate how long the wait will be?
No, on purpose. Each party shows how long it has been waiting, and only that. The check-in page tells guests how many parties are ahead only if you turn on Show queue.
Can I text a guest when it is their turn?
Yes, with Text on the party card: a 'you're next' message, or at a restaurant 'table is ready'. It needs a mobile number on file and texting switched on for the store.
Does it work for restaurants?
Yes. At a restaurant the page is called Waitlist, with party size, notes and a table picker, and today's table reservations appear in the same list.
What happens when a walk-in pays?
Use Add to ticket, which opens the Register with the service and provider on it. When that ticket is paid, the party is marked served.
Is Walk-ins part of every plan?
Walk-ins is part of the Walk-in add-on. Book a demo and we will show you what your store needs.
What does it cost?
Every business is different, so we quote per location. Book a demo and we will walk you through it.

A line that moves itself.

Book a demo and watch a guest join the line from their phone and walk out served.
