Combos

Combo meals with rules

Base a meal on a menu and set a Min and Max for each part.

Tick one menu per part, such as Sides and Drinks
Leave Min blank for an optional part, and leave Max blank for no limit

A modifier set is a group of choices that can be added to an item, like toppings, sides or steak temperature.

Choices with rules, prices and names the kitchen can read

Build a set, add the choices, and decide which items it applies to.

Set a Min number of modifiers required and a Max number allowed; a minimum above zero makes the choice required
Apply a set to every item with Global, to chosen items with Item based, or to whole categories with Category based
Each modifier has a Price (an Amount or a Percentage), Selected by default and Enable quantity selection for a double portion
A shorter Kitchen name keeps long options readable on a ticket
Optional in Order Types makes a choice optional for take out

How do I make a menu that only runs at certain times?

Create a menu, set Available from and Available to, and tick only the days it runs. Leave every day unticked to run all week. Add the items it should contain and set a menu Price if it differs.

Can an item cost something different on one menu?

Yes. Open the menu, go to Items in this menu and change the Price on that item's row. An item sells at the price shown on the menu it is ordered from.

How do I make a choice required?

In the modifier set, set Min number of modifiers required above zero. A maximum of 1 means pick one. Optional in Order Types makes it optional for some order types, such as take out.

Can I do half and half pizza?

Yes. Use a Pizza modifier item set. At the register each topping offers Left, Whole, Right and None, and a half topping costs half.

Can a retail store or a pet salon use modifiers?

Yes. Stores that sell products or services keep modifier sets on Products / Services for paid extras such as gift wrap, engraving or a service add-on.

What does 86 an item do?

Turn off Available right now on the item. It is marked unavailable until you turn it back on, and linked delivery marketplaces are updated at once.
